Prime Computer

An embarrassingly long time ago I used to work for Prime Computer at their large Research and development centre at Willen Lake, Milton Keynes, England. It was the best job I ever had. I have many fond memories of my time and friends there. For those who don't know, Prime used to make minicomputers, a kind of computer that does not exist anymore. Minis were between micros and mainframes and have now been replaced by the PC.

So here are some links to various pieces of Prime nostalgia:

Jim Wilcoxson has managed to create a fairly full-featured PRIMOS emulator. his is quite an impressive feat that was done single-handedly in a very short time. It is available via telnet to em.prirun.com. Login as in guest, password pr1me. The port number used determines which version of PRIMOS you connect to.
